Say hello to little Freddie and his buddies! Isn't this just the cutest? I always encourage my clients to bring one or two keepsake items from home, this could either be a teddy or knitted blanket - or even an outfit that baby hasn't yet had a chance to wear. Freddie brought along two little friends for his photoshoot; Peter Rabbit and Teddy Bear! I so loved capturing these adorable images for Freddie's family. BABY PHOTOSHOOT HAMPSHIRE | SURREY | BERKSHIRE
He came by the studio to see me with his mummy and nanny. Freddie was one of the many babies booked in with me for a session earlier on in the year, but then lockdown happened and we had to postpone his session. By the time we were able to reopen the studio, his parents had decided to wait another couple of months until he was sitting, to bring him in for one of my Little Sitter sessions instead! I adore this age, it's by far one of my favourite milestones to capture in a baby's life. They are still only little, but having learnt that all important skill of sitting completely changes their perspective on the world! Their sense of independence is growing and they're becoming more confident by the day!
His parents wanted a very simple, clutter free setup with white and creamy tones, so for my first setup I decided to shoot in front of my glass double doors with a white fluffy rug on the floor. I love the effect it gives, with the light coming in through the doors from behind him and the texture of the rug just completes it for me.
Like many other babies around Freddie's age, they're starting to become so much more aware of their surroundings - and he took a little while to warm up to me and being in the studio. This happens more often than not, and it's so important to give babies the space and time they need to become comfortable in their new surroundings. Once he had gotten used to me, we managed to capture lots of cheeky faces and smiles!
Ahh, I honestly can't deal with the cuteness of this little face! Isn't he just the most adorable little man you ever did see?

The most important thing for me is that your little one has a great time in the studio and enjoys the photoshoot, my sessions are very baby-led and I leave plenty of time for breaks so that nothing feels rushed.
I like to keep my Little Sitter sessions short and sweet - generally no longer than an hour and a half. By this point, babies will become tired and grouchy from all of the excitement from the session, so I always prefer to leave on a happy note!

Are you looking to book a Little Sitter session?
Little Sitter sessions are best booked for when your baby is a confident sitter, so anywhere between 5 to 8 months old. Props, outfits and backdrops are all included in the session fee, you won't have to bring anything along unless you have a specific outfit you would like your baby to wear or if you would like to include a keepsake, like a favourite teddy or comforter.
