This stunning mummy-to-be and her husband are expecting their very own tiny human! To celebrate her pregnancy, they booked a maternity shoot with me as part of my Bump to Baby package and came to visit me in my Hampshire studio in Aldershot. We had spoken a bit about her vision for the shoot and she really wanted something simple, yet feminine. I feel like that is exactly what we achieved with this shoot! She had picked out a couple of dresses from my studio wardrobe and brought along one of her own too. The one in the photo below is one of the many dresses I have available for clients to use in my studio wardrobe. Doesn't she look absolutely gorgeous in this flowy, white maternity gown?
I always encourage partners to join in and get involved in the session, at least for a couple of images - the love these two have for one another was so easy to capture!
One of the things I really enjoy about my job is the connection that I establish between myself and my clients. This is very likely the most important aspect of any shoot! Making my clients feel comfortable and at home in my studio or on location is of utmost importance to me. I don't want any of my shoots to feel posed or forced, rather I always engage with my clients during the shoot to encourage natural interaction between the two of them as a couple. That's how I prefer to capture those smiles - genuine, not forced and staged!

Are you looking to book a Bump to Baby Package?
My Bump to Baby Package includes a maternity session for when you are around 32-37 weeks pregnant and a newborn session for when baby has made their appearance. The maternity session can either be booked as an outdoor session (at an extra fee, to cover travel costs) or a studio session. You will have full access to my many gorgeous props and my stunning maternity dresses in the studio wardrobe during your session. Newborn sessions are best booked for when baby is between 1 to 2 weeks old. This is because they are still all curled up, like how they were in the womb and are still very sleepy. That being said, I am more than happy to book in babies for newborn sessions up to 8 weeks of age.
If you're interested in booking your Bump to Baby package with me, I suggest getting in touch no later than after your 20 week scan to ensure that I am able to fit you in - I tend to book up months in advance, but I always aim to leave a few spaces free for last minute bookings.
