Someone looks happy to be turning ONE! ♡ Athena's mum contacted me to arrange a 1st Birthday Cake Smash session for their baby girl. They had sadly missed out on capturing her newborn photos so they were really looking forward to capturing some gorgeous professional photos of their baby girl. CAKE SMASH PHOTOGRAPHER IN SURREY, HAMPSHIRE, BERKSHIRE
Part 1 - The Portrait Session I always start out the session by capturing a few shots of the birthday boy or girl in a lovely outfit, either chosen from the studio wardrobe or brought along from home. Athena is wearing an adorable white lace romper from my studio wardrobe. I have a large and varied selection of outfits available for my Cake Smash clients to choose from on the day of their session, from rompers to tutu's - I have something to suit everyone's style and taste!

Part 2 - The Cake Smash!
Look at that adorable cake! Almost too pretty to eat - Athena's mum let me know that they were bringing along a toadstool cake and it went beautifully with the colours of the backdrop.
One of my favourite parts of shooting a Cake Smash Session is seeing baby's reaction to having their cake placed in front of them - it can vary from disbelief to pure and utter joy! It's very likely the first time in their life that they've had a whole cake put in front of them to do with what they wish, so you never quite know how they're going to react!

Part 3 - Splish, Splash, Splosh
Cake smash sessions can get very messy so bath time is the perfect way to clean up whilst having fun!
Athena was just the happiest little dot, she loved each and every part of her session and was full of smiles throughout. Thank you for coming to see me and for choosing me as your Cake Smash photographer ♡

Are you looking to book a cake smash session for your little one?
My cake smash & splash sessions start with capturing a few shots of your little one in an outfit of your choice (either one picked out of my studio wardrobe or one you've brought yourself). Then we get your little one changed into their cake smash outfit and let them have some fun getting stuck into their cake! Some children are initially not that keen on getting messy and may need a bit of gentle encouragement, others take to it straight away and relish the opportunity to get messy! The final part of the session is a nice, warm bath in my washtub with lots of bubbles.
A Cake Smash & Splash is a fun-packed session and a unique way to commemorate a birthday, whether that be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd birthday!
