Welcome to the world, baby Emme! I was lucky enough to have met this amazing family last year, where I had the opportunity of photographing Emme's big sister. A few months after, I received a message saying they were expecting baby number 2 and that they'd like to book in for a newborn session! There is no bigger compliment for a newborn photographer than when a client returns to book with you again - I was honestly so excited to meet their new baby girl! Their brand new baby girl was one of the best sleepers I have photographed this year! She was extremely relaxed and had the most beautiful jet black hair. For this session, we focused on using mainly pinks, neutrals and earthy tones - all complimenting her skin and hair very nicely. I really enjoyed photographing this amazing little one!

I always advise booking after you've had your 20 week scan, to ensure availability as I only book in a set amount of newborns per month. I just adore these brown, earthy tones, anyone that has seen my work will know it's one of my absolute favourite colour schemes to work with. And I just LOVE this adorable floral wrap. Anyone who's been to my studio will know that it's stocked with everything you can imagine to suit your personal taste. I have hundreds of items including handmade bonnets, head bands, outfits, wraps, tiny beds and more. My personal prop closet is at your fingertips and included in your session! For Emme's session, we went very timeless and simple and used a lot of pinks, neutrals and earthy tones.
Did you know that my Newborn sessions include sibling and family images at no extra cost? I love capturing the natural connection between siblings - no forced smiles or poses.
Being a Newborn and Baby photographer is truly amazing, I LOVE my job and I sometimes have to pinch myself to believe this is really what I do for a living - there's nothing in the world I'd rather do. Newborn photography is where my heart lies and I genuinely adore each and every baby that comes to visit me in the studio ♡

Are you looking to book a Newborn Session?
Newborn sessions are best booked for when baby is between 1 to 2 weeks old. This is because they are still all curled up, like how they were in the womb and are still very sleepy. That being said, I am more than happy to book in babies for newborn sessions up to 8 weeks of age.
As a mum myself, I can completely appreciate how it might be difficult to get the time to fit in a newborn photoshoot in those first few weeks, on top of everything else you've got going on! I wouldn't discourage you from considering a newborn session if you've missed that golden window to book. "Older" newborns can sometimes be just as easy to pose as a baby that's only a couple of days old - regardless of your newborns age, we can capture some beautiful images for you and your family to cherish for years to come.
If you're interested in booking your newborn session with me, I suggest getting in touch no later than after your 20 week scan. If your baby is already here, you're more than welcome to get in touch - I always leave a few spaces free every month for last minute bookings.
