Welcome to the world, baby Oliver! He came to see me for his studio newborn session with his mummy and daddy. This was a relaxing session from start to finish. His family were so easy going, I so enjoyed meeting them! They had initially booked in for my Bump to Baby package but due to lockdown, we weren't able to schedule in a maternity session before little Oliver decided to make his appearance. Luckily, I was able to get him booked in straight away for a newborn session! I had the best time meeting him and getting to know his parents.

Huge smiles for daddy! Did you know that I always leave plenty of time to include family portraits as part of my newborn sessions? For the family shots I suggest wearing neutral tones in similar colours as seen in the image above.
Being a Newborn and Baby photographer is truly amazing, I LOVE my job and I sometimes have to pinch myself to believe this is really what I do for a living - there's nothing in the world I'd rather do. Newborn photography is where my heart lies and I genuinely adore each and every baby that comes to visit me in the studio ♡
Baby Oliver was no exception. He only had a little nap whilst having a cuddle with his daddy and was otherwise wide awake for the remainder of the session. He was such a curious little guy, he didn't want to miss a thing!

Are you looking to book a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best booked for when baby is between 1 to 3 weeks old. This is because they are still all curled up, like how they were in the womb and are still very sleepy. That being said, I am more than happy to book in babies for newborn sessions up to 8 weeks of age.
As a mum myself, I can completely appreciate how it might be difficult to get the time to fit in a newborn photoshoot in those first few weeks, on top of everything else you've got going on! I wouldn't discourage you from considering a newborn session if you've missed that golden window to book. "Older" newborns can sometimes be just as easy to pose as a baby that's only a couple of days old - regardless of your newborns age, we can capture some beautiful images for you and your family to cherish for years to come.
If you're interested in booking your newborn session with me, I suggest getting in touch no later than after your 20 week scan. If your baby is already here, you're more than welcome to get in touch - I always leave a few spaces free every month for last minute bookings.
