Welcome to the world Felicity! She came by my boutique photography studio in Hampshire for her studio newborn session with her mummy and daddy. This wasn't the first time I had the pleasure of seeing this lovely family - Felicity's parents had come to visit me for their maternity session as part of my Bump to Baby package.

Most babies arrive at the studio awake - I always ask my clients to change baby's nappy and give them a quick top-up before I swaddle baby and start the session. I love being able to capture some photos of baby wide awake, showing off their big, beautiful eyes!
Did you know that newborn sessions are booked in advance based on your due date? I always advise booking after you've had your 20 week scan, to ensure availability as I only book in a set amount of newborns per month. Sometimes my schedule is too busy to fit people in last minute so its always a good idea to book in advance!
The most beautiful little family ♡ Did you know that my Newborn sessions include sibling and family images at no extra cost? I love capturing the natural connection between new parents and their bundle of joy - no forced smiles or poses. Just you and baby.

I so enjoyed seeing Felicity's family again and getting to know them. Being able to capture this special time in their lives was an absolute pleasure and knowing that these photos will be treasured for years to come just means so much to me! Are you looking to book a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best booked for when baby is between 1 to 2 weeks old. This is because they are still all curled up, like how they were in the womb and are still very sleepy. That being said, I am more than happy to book in babies for newborn sessions up to 8 weeks of age.
As a mum myself, I can completely appreciate how it might be difficult to get the time to fit in a newborn photoshoot in those first few weeks, on top of everything else you've got going on! I wouldn't discourage you from considering a newborn session if you've missed that golden window to book. "Older" newborns can sometimes be just as easy to pose as a baby that's only a couple of days old - regardless of your newborns age, we can capture some beautiful images for you and your family to cherish for years to come.
If you're interested in booking your newborn session with me, I suggest getting in touch no later than after your 20 week scan. If your baby is already here, you're more than welcome to get in touch - I always leave a few spaces free every month for last minute bookings.
