Meet adorable Miss Tilly-Rose - 13 days new ♡ This little girlie was one of the best sleepers I've had in the studio for a very long time! She was such a dream baby. Whilst I always aim to capture both sleepy and awake photos, I must admit I have a soft spot for those gorgeous, sleepy photos! When choosing your newborn photographer it is so important to choose someone whose work speaks to you, and who will take the extra time to make your session special. It is truly such an honour to be trusted to create these photos for your family!
Regardless of my clients' requests for colour schemes, I ALWAYS aim to include an all white setup. As much as I love playing around with different colour schemes and tones, I adore creating these beautiful, airy setups - especially using my white fluffy rugs, almost giving the illusion that baby is serenely floating on a fluffy cloud!

Upon booking a photography session, one of the first thing I ask clients for is their requests for colour schemes. For girls I get a lot of requests for pinks, creamy tones and whites. As much as I love a baby girl in pink, one of my favourite colours to use for girls is blue! Blue isn't just for baby boys, as Tilly-Rose so brilliantly demonstrates ♡

Tilly-Rose was 13 days when she came in for her Newborn session in my Aldershot based photography studio, which is a perfect age for a newborn session. I love this beautiful setup below, incorporating some beautiful lilac tones.
Did you know that newborn sessions are booked in advance based on your due date? I always advise booking after you've had your 20 week scan, to ensure availability as I only book in a set amount of newborns per month. Sometimes my schedule is too busy to fit people in last minute so its always a good idea to book in advance!

Are you looking to book a newborn session?
Newborn sessions are best booked for when baby is between 1 to 3 weeks old. This is because they are still all curled up, like how they were in the womb and are still very sleepy. That being said, I am more than happy to book in babies for newborn sessions up to 8 weeks of age.
As a mum myself, I can completely appreciate how it might be difficult to get the time to fit in a newborn photoshoot in those first few weeks, on top of everything else you've got going on! I wouldn't discourage you from considering a newborn session if you've missed that golden window to book. "Older" newborns can sometimes be just as easy to pose as a baby that's only a couple of days old - regardless of your newborns age, we can capture some beautiful images for you and your family to cherish for years to come.
If you're interested in booking your newborn session with me, I suggest getting in touch no later than after your 20 week scan. If your baby is already here, you're more than welcome to get in touch - I always leave a few spaces free every month for last minute bookings.
