Lydia had the most adorable Beetlejuice themed cake to match the theme of her Cake Smash photoshoot! I work with a local baker who creates most of the cakes for my sessions and my clients were over the moon with this fun cake!
One of my favourite parts of shooting a Cake Smash Session is seeing their reaction to having their cake placed in front of them - it can vary from disbelief to pure and utter joy! It's very likely the first time in their life that they've had a whole cake put in front of them to do with what they wish, so you never quite know how they're going to react! Are you looking to book a cake smash session for your little one? My cake smash & splash sessions start with capturing a few shots of your little one in an outfit of your choice (either one picked out of my studio wardrobe or one you've brought yourself). Then we get your little one changed into their cake smash outfit and let them have some fun getting stuck into their cake! Some children are initially not that keen on getting messy and may need a bit of gentle encouragement, others take to it straight away and relish the opportunity to get messy! The final part of the session is a nice, warm bath in my washtub with lots of bubbles. A Cake Smash & Splash is a fun-packed session and a unique way to commemorate a birthday, whether that be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd birthday!
